The morning was spent at the temple here at Nauvoo.
Beauty, history, meaning, gratitude, prayer, peace.
After lunch, we took a twenty mile jaunt down the Mississippi (and over a bit) to a place called Carthage. We wanted to pay homage to the place where Joseph Smith and his brother Hyrum were martyred. As part of our family's religious beliefs, we honor this man Joseph as a prophet of God.
The mood was quiet, reverent; almost somber.
A beautiful, introspective day.
Lovely pictures! And sounds like a beautiful day!
