    These bars were adapted from Christy Morgan's vegan cookbook "Blissful Bites". We loved them- I think it's time to make another batch!

    Stir together:
    2 cups oats (I used old fashioned rolled)
    2 cups crispy brown rice cereal
    1/2 cup chopped almonds
    1/2 cup chopped peanuts
    1 cup chopped dates (you could use any other dried fruit or a combo)
    1/3 cup sesame seeds
    2-3 T. chia seeds (optional)
    1 1/2 cups brown rice syrup. (I was a little short on this and added a half a cup of agave)
    1 cup peanut butter or almond butter or a combo
    1 t. vanilla
    Mix all ingredients and press in a greased 9x13 pan. Chill and cut into bars. Yum!!

    1. Thank you so much for responding. Our family is on a healthy eating journey- my son developed type 1 and hubby II:( we are all shocked & taken aback. We thought we did eat fairly well. So starts the learning and trying new recipes!
