Saint Patrick's Day Shenanigans

Top 'o the mornin' breakfast fer ya. A little bit 'o green food coloring makes the blender buckwheat pancakes festive. Apple juice was magically transformed into "clover juice".
Isaac made sure we all were wearing green. Before Isaac pinched Dad, who wasn't wearing any, Keith pulled out a dollar bill out of his shirt pocket. That was a good trick.
For school this afternoon, Isaac dictated a story to me called "The Leprechaun's Gold". That was fun. I typed it up and he's still working on his illustration.

When all the kids got home from school, they hurried out to the backyard to search for some hidden chocolate coins that were left by some sneaky little leprechaun.

Loads 'o fun, huh Sam?

When Gary comes home for Sunday dinner, we'll have our traditional soda bread and corned beef dinner. That's something we all look forward to every year.
Just thought I'd share some of the goings-on of the day... Some of the little traditions that make home life fun and memorable.
I'll leave you with a little Irish blessing:
May you always have work for your hands to do.
May your pockets hold always a coin or two.
May the sun shine bright on your windowpane.
May the rainbow be certain to follow each rain.
May the hand of a friend always be near you.
And may God fill your heart with gladness to cheer you.
